Day in a life – 10 on 10, August | West Vancouver Storytelling Family Photographer

It’s time for my storytelling of my Day in a Life for August. It’s the height of summer, the last month of school holidays and it’s not going to be complete without heading south to the Oregon Coast. We usually stop through Portland, land of great food trucks, excellent coffee, fun university district and warm hospitality. Ok, may a little tax-free shopping as the cherry on top :). Then we bee-line it to the coast for a one-night camping extravaganza at Nehalem State Park. The pictures online do it no justice. The park sits just on the protected side of a line of dunes so all you have to do it walk to its crest and the miles of soft singing white sand beach is before you. Did I mention we are on the western coastline, at sunset? Dream a little dream for this mom-tographer! We pitched our tent, had a fun cookout of pasta and mac & cheese for the girls, strapped on our headlamps and off we went sand sliding into the Pacific ocean! The light was stunning, the waves happily lapping at our feet. Sand, sun, camping – the Oregon outdoors does it for our happy, every.single.time.

Now please head over to check out my friend, Davina’s 10 on 10 to see what her highlight reel is for August!nehalem state park family camping oregon
