It’s the end of May and you can already feel the summer breeze along the coast and smell the salty ocean air. The warmth of the sun on your face and its light glistening off the lapping waves, and the sensation of the tiny pebbly sand between your toes makes it official that west coast summers can’t be beat. I spent the evening with this beautiful couple and their big brown-eyed sweet girl along the shore. They may have brought a picnic, bubbles, and equipment for a game of paddle ball but they got much more out of the evening – seal sightings, rock scrambling, swings into the water and the pure enjoyment of this beautiful weather. Olivia was my muse. The way her hair caught the wind, the moments she got lost in the faraway ocean, her focused and determined expression when trying to pop the bubbles her parents created for her. She may have been hamming it up for the camera but I think I managed to capture the moments where she was just being her true self too.
Thank you Susan, Andreas, and Olivia for the treat of the fruit drink, the chat about your travels and paddle ball, and sharing pieces of your family history with me. I hope you are having a wonderful vacation in Greece and look forward to seeing you soon when you return!
