Vancouver Family Photographer | Storytelling 10 on 10, December
This month’s 10 on 10 is a mashup of our past month. It’s been a crazy time with Derek’s injury and my work (which I LOVE) but that means taking photos of my own family life is, well, truly lacking! Nevertheless, I’ve found a few to share for the last month of this wonderful Project. All little snippets of the winter that is upon us. I mean, we even got snow in November!
We got our Disney on Ice tickets really early this year and this time we took my mom. As much as Elliotte says she’s too old for princesses, I caught her craning her neck to get a good view more than a few times that night!
Cold pink winter hands in the blustery afternoon chill, but little J loves it regardless.
We visited a christmas market that featured a local country band; Janie kept telling her daddy that the guy singing with the guitar is “my favourite guy”.
Every year, when the tree goes up, the girls stare at it for a while, taking in its wonder. And it’s artificial. I wonder what their expressions would be like if it was a real tree, smelling like Christmas all over this house? This year, Elliotte actually wrote her own letter and wish list to Santa. It was such a big milestone to be remembered and priceless to see her deep in thought for what to write!
We headed out to Victoria for one night for an office Christmas event and the sun came out after days of downpour. Oh the winter afternoon light!
Winter days are so incredibly wet and dark so we spend a lot of time inside and reading is one of those things that happen a lot. So fun to capture this special moment between daddy and little J as it is so rare that they can share this.
I’m so excited to be linked to my very talented fellow Canadian, Sherri Davis, and her incredibly emotive images. Please click on to see her beautiful photos.
