Vancouver Family Photographer | From Gold Coast to West Coast

Often times when you make big life changing decisions, you place all the pros and cons before you and make an informed decision. But there's always some part of you that makes it based on a gut feeling, along with faith.

After having spent a stint in the States, and then a number of years in Australia in the Gold Coast, this family made the transcontinental leap to come back to where they consider home, the West Coast. A move like that is not easy and takes phases. After landing on Canadian soil, Michael had to return back to Australia to tie up some loose ends at work and Marnie and her girls jumped right into life in Vancouver. A new school for their oldest, a new neighbourhood, a new home. With all these big changes happening all at once, Marnie and Michael managed incredibly well to find a new pace for their family, while being continents apart.

Then finally, after a few months, Michael is able to be reunited here in the new home that Marnie has spent time creating. Everything new has become their everyday. Routines of work, school, and weekends have all fallen into place.  Finally, they breathe a sigh of settledness together, while they dip their feet into Pacific waters, scamper about the rocky coastline, play tag in the long shadows and last light, and take turns swinging on an old tire hung from a tree of a local gem of a spot. This is their sweet slice of west coast life.
