Vancouver Family Photographer | Stories in Seven - February
In a sea of beautiful fine-art photography crafted to perfection, a group of us wanted to dedicate this blog collective to the less than perfect but equally beautiful. This is a circle that embraces the raw pieces of life and spins it into Stories in Seven: seven images that tell one story.
February is love month. The consumer markets have made that much clear :). Well here in our home, love comes in the form of lots of things but often in bits in pieces of art. So I hauled out my boxes of craft supplies and let my girls have at them. Elliotte wanted to make "Go there squares" for all her classmates and make a Valentine's Day banner to pin on our kitchen board. I guess she must have learnt some paper chains at school because this day, the girls were quiet as mice for a good 20 minutes and when I listened in, Elliotte was instructing Janie on how to use tape to put together the heart chains. That girl has my crafty heart and loves to share it. I hope this kind of crafting in earnest will continue for a long while yet and that they will always learn to appreciate that the simplest and best gifts are the hand-made ones created with love, regardless of whether it is Valentine's month or not.
