Vancouver Newborn Photographer | Baby Kaito and his Bulldogs
Weeks before Baby Kaito was born, his aunt Tracie and uncle Jason were talking about how exciting it would be to have a newborn baby in the family during Christmas time and how they are looking forward to meeting this little guy. Thankfully he arrived before they left on their Christmas vacation and Tracie and Jason were able to get a cuddle in.
When Baby Kaito was about a month old, Tracie contacted me to see if I would be able to do a newborn/family session for her sister and brother-in-law, Monica and Jeff. What a fantastic gift to celebrate the addition We looked at some dates and kept our fingers crossed for good weather as Monica really wanted her dogs to be part of the story. In this family, two fur babies came before Kaito, two of the very, very cute and very affectionate variety - english bulldogs Dudley and Leroy. They gave me so much love and lots of kisses to Kaito. I'm pretty sure his chubby dimpled hands smell like bulldog breath of the best kind! So pups have so much love for their little brother - it's so sweet to see!
We kept it pretty simple this afternoon - hung out at their apartment, had a bath, a little nurse, and then got Kaito dressed for an outdoor walk. This little guy is pure butterball. I'm pretty sure there are three chins and definitely a bunch of michelin rolls on his limbs. Monica even went down the slide for the first time with her little guy and Jeff took him for a slobbery superman fly-about. All these activities has Kaito tuckered right out that as soon as Jeff put his sweater on, he passed out in his daddy's arms, mid-zip, no joke.
Monica and Jeff, thank you for inviting me into your home and letting me capture some everyday life for you. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Tracie and Jason, thank you for thinking of me for your sister's family. I am so grateful for your trust!
