People say, when you meet the one, you'll know. It's certainly true for these two lovebirds. When Arianna and Noel met, they knew that the stars had aligned for them that night. Its significance is inscribed on the inside of his wedding band as a reminder of how it got them here, to this day, to exchange their life promises in the cosiest of weddings. They chose to meet each other not at the venue of Barclay Heritage Square in the West End of Vancouver, but instead at the corner of Barclay and Jervis, where Arianna's cousin and her husband, Kayla and Angel, lived. It was so much fun watching Noel's anticipation to see his beautiful bride as she rounded the corner.
As they strolled down the block to the gardens of Barclay Heritage Square, they talked about how the day has finally come, and shared in their excitement for this merry event. It's not your traditional wedding - and these two are far from traditional so it suited them to a "T". As family trickled in to celebrate their big day, I spot the most adorable fur baby of theirs, Sophie, the english bulldog. She's donning a gorgeous collar of florals and strutted around the gardens sniffing out her mom and dad and showering them with love.
As their sweet words were exchanged and rings worn to signify the start of a new beginning together, Arianna and Noel's families looked on with joy and well wishing. The newlyweds were greeted by lots of hugs and kisses, topped off by a super group hug by their witnesses, Kayla and Angel, who themselves are just married a year ago. They hosted a lunch reception right in the gardens for everyone and as soon as the group photos were done, the bride and groom were eager to start the next leg of their day - their honeymoon! I don't blame them - it's the best way to celebrate any wedding, just the two of you!
Arianna and Noel, thank you for having me photograph your very, very special day. And thank you, also, for trusting me to just do what I do, and document the day for you. It's a good thing Sophie's a loyal pup...she refused to go home with me and left me slightly heart broken. I hope these images will tell the story of sweet happiness for you when you look back at them with time!
